The plugin does not collect or send any data about you or your PC. It asks Windows what is playing in the Windows media controls (the app, the song title, artist, album, cover, position and length), shows it on your keys, and sends play, pause, next, previous and seek commands to that app when you press a key. If you turn it on, it writes the current song and cover to files in a folder on your PC for your streaming app. It has no account, no online service, no analytics and no telemetry, and it makes no network requests of its own.
nowplaying.txt, title.txt, artist.txt and cover.jpg to Documents\Now Playing or the folder you choose, replaces them when the song changes, and empties them when nothing plays. Whatever reads that folder (for example OBS) can see the song.| Data | Where it is processed | Stored by the plugin? |
|---|---|---|
| Key settings (the look, the app, what a press does, the step) and the OBS setting (on or off, folder, text pattern) | Saved by the Stream Deck app on your PC, like the settings of any other key | Only in your Stream Deck profile on your PC. |
| What plays: app name, title, artist, album, cover, position, length | Read from Windows on your PC | No, except the four files above when you turn them on. Otherwise it is shown on the keys and in the settings page only, and kept in memory while the plugin runs. |
| Technical log | The Stream Deck plugin framework writes a small log file (mainly connection errors) in the plugin's folder on your PC. | On your PC only. It is not sent anywhere. |
| Anything sent to GRAMSHIFT servers | — | Nothing. The plugin has no server of its own and makes no network requests of its own. |
The plugin itself has no analytics. The product pages on gramshift.com (the English and the Japanese page; not this privacy page or the support page) use Google Analytics to count visits: which page was opened, from which site or search, and the browser's general location and device type. Advertising cookies and ad personalization are always off. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the analytics cookie is set only after you choose Accept on the small banner at the bottom of the page; until then, or if you choose Decline, Google receives only cookieless signals without an ID. Elsewhere the pages set the analytics cookie when they open. Your choice is kept in your browser (local storage) so the banner does not come back; clear this site's data to choose again. Google processes this data on our behalf and GRAMSHIFT is the controller; we rely on your consent in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, and elsewhere on our legitimate interest in knowing how visitors find these pages. To refuse, choose Decline on the banner, block cookies for gramshift.com in your browser, or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
(日本語)プラグイン本体には解析の仕組みはありません。gramshift.com の商品ページ(英語と日本語のページ。
The plugin is sold on the Elgato Marketplace. Purchases, payments and licenses are handled by Elgato (Corsair) and its payment provider under Elgato's own terms and privacy policy. GRAMSHIFT never receives card details. If Elgato provides us with sales records (for example the date, country and amount of a sale), we use them only for accounting and tax.
If you contact us, we receive what you choose to send (for example your email address, your message and any screenshots). We use it only to answer you. Email to contact@gramshift.com is forwarded by our email forwarding provider (ImprovMX) to a mailbox hosted by Google (Gmail), so those providers process support emails on our behalf.
The plugin works only as a tool on your own computer: GRAMSHIFT does not receive or process anything from it. For sales records and support emails, GRAMSHIFT is the controller. We rely on our legitimate interest in answering requests and on legal obligations (for example tax records). GRAMSHIFT is based in Japan, so this information is processed in Japan and by the providers named above.
You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or object to its use, by emailing contact@gramshift.com. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
The plugin keeps nothing of its own except its key settings and log file, on your PC, and the four song files if you turned them on. Uninstalling it from the Stream Deck app removes the settings and the log; the song files stay in their folder until you delete them. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to handle the request and meet legal obligations; you can ask us to delete them. Sales records are kept for up to 7 years for accounting and tax.
If the plugin ever starts to send or store other data, this policy will be updated before that change is released, and the date above will change.
