The plugin shows the Windows priority of the program in front and of a program you choose, and changes that priority when you press one of its keys (or by itself when a chosen program starts, if you turned that on). To do that it reads a few facts about the windows and processes of other programs on your PC (listed below), and it opens processes to ask Windows about them and to set their priority. It does not send any of it anywhere, and it does not collect or send any data about you or your PC. It has no account, no online service of its own, no analytics and no advertising.
While a key of the plugin is on the visible Stream Deck page, or while a program whose priority the plugin changed is still running, the plugin reads the following twice a second:
PROCESS_QUERY_LIMITED_INFORMATION) and reads the full path of its program file, the time it started, its Windows session number and its priority class. The path tells it the program's name and whether the program belongs to Windows or to the Stream Deck app; the start time tells it that a process number still means the same process. The plugin does not read window titles, the contents of any window, what you type, or the memory or files of any program. It takes no screenshots, sets no hook and injects nothing into other programs.
PROCESS_SET_INFORMATION) and sets its priority class (SetPriorityClass) to one of five values: Low, Below normal, Normal, Above normal, High. Realtime is never set.| Data | Where it is processed | Stored by the plugin? |
|---|---|---|
| Program file names and priorities of the app in front, of the chosen program and of the processes the plugin changed; how many of them there are | Read from Windows on your PC; drawn on the key and written into the Status line of the settings page. Both are shown by the Stream Deck app on your PC. | No. Not written to disk by the plugin, not logged, not sent anywhere. |
| Process numbers, program paths, start times, session numbers, window class names, and for each process the plugin changed the priority it had before | Kept in memory on your PC for as long as they are needed (until the next reading half a second later; for a changed process until it is put back or has ended) | No. Not written to disk, not logged, not sent anywhere. It is forgotten when the plugin stops. |
| The list of programs that show a window now | Read from Windows on your PC when the App Priority settings are open, and shown there as the list to choose from | No. Only the program you choose is saved, as a key setting (see the next row). |
| Key settings (the chosen program's file name, the priority, whether to set it automatically, the wait) | Saved by the Stream Deck app on your PC, like the settings of any other key | Only in your Stream Deck profile on your PC. |
| Technical log | The Stream Deck plugin framework writes a small log file (mainly connection errors) in the plugin's folder on your PC. The plugin writes no program name, no path and no process number into it. | On your PC only. It is not sent anywhere. |
| Anything sent to GRAMSHIFT servers | — | Nothing. The plugin has no server of its own and makes no network requests of its own. |
The plugin talks only to the Stream Deck app on the same PC, through a local connection (127.0.0.1) that the Stream Deck app provides to every plugin.
The plugin is sold on the Elgato Marketplace. Purchases, payments and licenses are handled by Elgato (Corsair) and its payment provider under Elgato's own terms and privacy policy. GRAMSHIFT never receives card details. If Elgato provides us with sales records (for example the date, country and amount of a sale), we use them only for accounting and tax.
If you contact us, we receive what you choose to send (for example your email address, your message and any screenshots; a photo of a key or a screenshot of the settings page can show the file name of a program that was running). We use it only to answer you. Email to contact@gramshift.com is forwarded by our email forwarding provider (ImprovMX) to a mailbox hosted by Google (Gmail), so those providers process support emails on our behalf.
The plugin works only as a tool on your own computer: GRAMSHIFT does not receive or process anything from it. For sales records and support emails, GRAMSHIFT is the controller. We rely on our legitimate interest in answering requests and on legal obligations (for example tax records). GRAMSHIFT is based in Japan, so this information is processed in Japan and by the providers named above.
You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or object to its use, by emailing contact@gramshift.com. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
The plugin keeps nothing of its own except its key settings and its log file, on your PC. The log file is in the plugin's own folder. Key settings are held by the Stream Deck app together with your profiles. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to handle the request and meet legal obligations; you can ask us to delete them. Sales records are kept for up to 7 years for accounting and tax.
If the plugin ever starts to send or store other data, this policy will be updated before that change is released, and the date above will change.
