Esc on the keyboard, to stop.DONE.TIME UP.| Event | What the key shows |
|---|---|
| You press the key again (or let go of it with "Click while held") | The settings again; no alert. |
You press Esc on the keyboard | ESC "key pressed" |
| The number of clicks is reached | DONE |
| The time limit is reached | TIME UP |
| The mouse moved more than a few pixels (when that stop is on) | MOVED "mouse moved" |
| Another window came to the front (when that stop is on) | WINDOW "window changed" |
| The click point is not on any screen | OFF "not on a screen" |
| The click point is on the Stream Deck app's window (it does not click there, so it does not press its own keys) | BLOCKED "on Stream Deck" |
| The program of the window at the click point could not be checked (it might be the Stream Deck app, so it does not click there) | BLOCKED "unknown window" |
| The PC woke from sleep | STOPPED "PC slept" |
| The plugin could not run for 3 seconds or more (the PC slept or was very busy, or its clock jumped forward) | STOPPED "paused" |
| The clock of the PC was set back | STOPPED "clock changed" |
| At a saved spot: another program kept moving the pointer away from the spot | BLOCKED "pointer held" |
| You pressed another Auto Click key | STOPPED "other key" |
| You changed the settings of the key | STOPPED "settings changed" |
| The key left the Stream Deck page (you changed page or profile, or deleted it), or the Stream Deck was unplugged | The run ends when the Stream Deck app tells the plugin that the key has left the page or that the Stream Deck was unplugged. |
| The Stream Deck app quits | The run ends. |
| Key | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Dark, with the button, interval and number | Ready. A press starts. |
| Green, with the count | Clicking. The count goes up with each click. |
Amber frame, CHECK "settings" | A number in the settings cannot be read or is outside its range. A press clicks nothing; the settings page marks the field in red. |
Amber frame, BLOCKED "Windows refused" | Windows did not accept the click. The run ends at once. |
Amber frame, BLOCKED "pointer held" | Another program keeps the pointer away from the saved spot, so nothing is clicked there. |
NO SPOT | Click at Spot has no saved spot yet. Hold the key for 1 second, or pick one in the settings. |
BUSY "clicker runs" | Click at Spot waits while an Auto Click key is clicking. |
Amber frame, NO HOLD "on-screen deck" | "Click while held" does not work on the on-screen Stream Deck. Choose "Press to start, press to stop". |
| "starts in" with 3, 2, 1 | On the on-screen Stream Deck, every start and every Click at Spot click comes after this countdown: let go of the mouse, and when clicking at the pointer, move it where the clicks should go. A press of the key or Esc during the countdown cancels it. |
Amber frame, ESC "cancelled" | Esc was pressed during the countdown. Nothing was clicked. |
Amber frame, BLOCKED "on Stream Deck" | The click point is on the Stream Deck app's window. Nothing is clicked there, so the keys of the on-screen Stream Deck are not pressed again and again. Move the pointer, or the saved spot, off the Stream Deck window. |
Amber frame, BLOCKED "unknown window" | The plugin could not check which program the window at the click point belongs to. It might be the Stream Deck app, so nothing is clicked there. Press the key again; if this keeps showing over a normal window, write to us at contact@gramshift.com. |
| Amber frame, "reinstall plugin" | The plugin could not load its Windows part. Remove the plugin in the Stream Deck app and install it again from the Elgato Marketplace. |
The clicks do not reach one app.
If that app runs as administrator, Windows silently drops clicks from a normal program into it. The key cannot tell, so it keeps counting those clicks. Start that app without administrator rights, or click into a normal window.
Esc did not stop it.
Hold Esc down for a moment. A very quick tap can be missed. A second press of the key also stops the run.
A long run stopped by itself while I was away.
A run ends when the Stream Deck app tells the plugin that its key has left the page (you changed page or profile) or that the Stream Deck was unplugged. If the Stream Deck app is set to turn the Stream Deck off after some idle time (its sleep setting), a long run may end then. For long runs, switch that sleep off in the Stream Deck app. The PC going to sleep also stops a run.
Can I use the on-screen Stream Deck?
Yes, with a few differences, because it is pressed with the mouse itself. Every start, and every Click at Spot click (also in a Multi Action), comes after a 3, 2, 1 countdown, so you can let go of the mouse and move the pointer off the on-screen deck first; Esc cancels the countdown. Nothing is clicked on the Stream Deck app's window, nor on a window whose program cannot be checked (the key shows BLOCKED). "Click while held" does not work there. On Click at Spot, holding the key counts 3, 2, 1 like Pick a spot.
It stops as soon as I touch the mouse.
That is the "the mouse moves" stop. When clicking where the pointer is, switch it off in the settings to keep clicking while you use the mouse; Esc and a second press still stop it. This does not help at a saved spot: there the pointer is put back on the spot before every click, so the mouse cannot be used elsewhere while it runs.
Which numbers do X and Y mean?
Screen pixels, with 0,0 at the top left of the main screen. Screens to the left of or above the main screen have negative numbers. Pick a spot fills them in for you.
How fast can it click?
Every 10 milliseconds at most. Windows and the app you click in decide how many clicks they take in, so very short intervals can be uneven in some apps.
Can two keys click at the same time?
One key clicks at a time. A press on another Auto Click key stops the run; press it again to start that key.
Does it work on Mac?
No. This plugin runs on Windows only (see Compatibility below).
Needs Windows 10 or later and the Stream Deck app 6.9 or later. Tested on Windows 11. Windows 10 has not been tested yet; if something does not work there, write to us at contact@gramshift.com.
The plugin runs on your PC and sends no data to us or to any online service. See the Privacy Policy.
