At zero the key turns red, rings, and counts the time since it ended as +m:ss until you press it. In the last minute the ring around the time turns amber.
Press to start or stop counting up. Hold the key to set it back to 0.
The plugin keeps the time each timer ends, not a count of seconds, so the time stays right when:
If a countdown ended in the meantime, it gives the alarm you set one time when the plugin runs again (the set number of plays, or until you press the key; it does not repeat it later), the Windows notification says how long ago it ended, and the key shows the time since, for example +15:00. A ring from a key on a page that is not shown stops with a press on any timer key.
| Key | Meaning |
|---|---|
The set time, PRESS TO START | Ready. |
| The time left, with a ring that runs down | Running. The ring turns amber in the last minute. |
PAUSED | Paused. A press goes on. |
Red, TIME'S UP and +m:ss | Time is up. It rings until you press the key (or the set number of times) and counts the time since. |
+5 MIN for a moment | Time was added (when a press adds time). |
RESET for a moment | The key was held: back to the set time. |
CHECK SETTINGS | A number in the settings cannot be used. The field is marked in red, and a press starts nothing until it is fixed. |
I see no notification.
Check that notifications are on in Windows Settings > System > Notifications, and that Do not disturb is off. The notifications show Windows PowerShell as the sender, so that entry must be allowed too. If notifications from Windows PowerShell are turned off in Windows, or Windows refuses the notification, the settings of the key say so. Do not disturb (Focus) hides notifications without telling the plugin, so that case is not reported. A notification never stops or holds up the sound.
I hear no sound.
Press Test sound in the settings. Check the volume of the key and the Windows volume. The plugin needs Windows PowerShell, which is part of Windows 10 and 11; if it cannot be used, the settings of the key say "The sound could not be played".
Which WAV files work?
WAV files on a drive letter, such as C:, including a network drive you mapped to a letter (such as Z:), which reaches only a server you chose to connect to. A network path that starts with \\ cannot be used: opening it would send your Windows sign-in to that server. The field turns red; map the share to a drive letter or copy the file to your PC first. The field also turns red for a path that is not a full path to a .wav file (for example one that starts with file://). Most WAV files follow the volume of the key; a few kinds play at their own level, and the settings say so.
I changed the clock of the PC.
A clock set back while a timer runs is noticed and does not make the timer longer. If the clock is set back while the Stream Deck app is closed, a timer can be up to 30 seconds off. A clock moved forward by hand counts as time passed.
I deleted a key while its timer ran.
The Stream Deck app tells the plugin the same thing for a deleted key as for a key on a page not shown, so the timer still ends and rings. Press any timer key to stop the ring.
I changed the language of the Stream Deck app.
The keys and the notifications follow it as soon as you open the settings of any timer key, or when the Stream Deck app starts again.
Can I put it in a Multi Action?
No. Each timer is its own key.
Does it work on Mac?
No. This plugin runs on Windows only (see Compatibility below).
Needs Windows 10 or later with Windows PowerShell (part of Windows), and the Stream Deck app 6.9 or later. If something does not work on your PC, write to us at contact
