Get started

  1. Install the profile from the Marketplace, or double-click the .streamDeckProfile file and choose Install in the Stream Deck app.
  2. Select the profile on your Stream Deck. PREV and NEXT at the bottom right move between the 10 pages. The MORE key opens a folder with more keys of the same page, and BACK returns.
  3. Keep REAPER in front and press a key. Pages 1 to 9 are for the main window (arrange view); page 10 is for the MIDI editor. Nothing needs to be imported into REAPER: the keys use REAPER's default keyboard shortcuts.

Questions

Where do the MIDI keys work?
Press the MIDI Editor keys (page 10) while the MIDI editor is the active window. In the main window the same keys split, delete or select items instead.

A key does nothing.
Check that REAPER is the active window: the MIDI editor for page 10, the main window for the other pages. An open dialog takes the keys until it is closed.

A key does something else.
The keys send REAPER's default shortcuts. If you changed a shortcut in REAPER (Actions > Show action list) or imported another key map, change that key's Hotkey in the Stream Deck app to match.

Which REAPER versions?
The keys were taken from the default key bindings of REAPER 7.82.

Some keys act on items, tracks or envelope points.
Delete, Copy, Cut, Select All and Mute follow REAPER's focus: they act on items, tracks or envelope points, depending on where the focus is in REAPER. Next Take and Prev Take move a comp area instead when the mouse pointer is over one.

Quantize, Render and other windows.
Keys such as Quantize, Humanize, Transpose and Render open REAPER's own window for that action, where you choose the settings.

Keys that delete or cut.
Delete, Cut Area and Trim Behind remove items or parts of items; Cut and Smart Cut cut items to the clipboard; Crop to Take and Delete Take remove takes; Del Notes removes notes in the MIDI editor. These keys are red and sit in MORE folders, with empty keys around them. Undo is on the Edit & File page.

Keyboard layouts.
The keys send letters, digits, F-keys, Space, Tab, Enter, Esc and the navigation keys (with Ctrl, Shift or Alt). No symbol keys, no numpad keys and no arrow key with Shift alone are used.

Mac, Stream Deck XL or Stream Deck +?
This version is for Windows with the 15-key Stream Deck (MK.2). Other devices are not covered in this version.
