Your game data stays on your PC. The plugin does not collect or send any data about you or your PC. While one of its keys is on your Stream Deck, it reads your own ship's status and your control bindings from the files Elite Dangerous writes on your PC, keeps what the keys need in memory and draws it on your keys. It has no account, no online service, no analytics and no telemetry of its own, and it never sends anything over the network.
Status.json and the newest Journal.*.log in the game's journal folder (Saved Games\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous, or the folder you enter), and StartPreset.4.start and your preset's .binds file in the game's bindings folder (AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings, or the folder you enter), or the preset the game ships in the game's own ControlSchemes folder.tasklist (when a key starts, when the game's files change while the game seems closed, then every 15 seconds while the game runs and every minute while it does not), and the program path of the game, to find the game's ControlSchemes folder. That folder's path is kept in the plugin's settings in the Stream Deck app, so the keys find it again before the game starts.| Data | Where it is kept | Sent to |
|---|---|---|
| Your ship's status and your key bindings | Memory of the plugin only, while it runs | Nobody |
| Key settings (panel or map, FSD control, safety, game program, folders, temperature unit, the page a key shows) and the path of the game's ControlSchemes folder | Your Stream Deck profile and the plugin's settings, saved by the Stream Deck app on your PC | Nobody by the plugin (the Stream Deck app's own profile features follow Elgato's privacy policy) |
| Log file of the Stream Deck SDK (start, connection, errors; no game values) | The plugin's log folder on your PC, managed by the Stream Deck app | Nobody |
The plugin is sold on the Elgato Marketplace. Purchases, payments and licenses are handled by Elgato (Corsair) and its payment provider under Elgato's own terms and privacy policy. GRAMSHIFT never receives card details. If Elgato provides us with sales records (for example the date, country and amount of a sale), we use them only for accounting and tax.
If you contact us, we receive what you choose to send (for example your email address, your message and any screenshots). We use it only to answer you. Email to contact@gramshift.com is forwarded by our email forwarding provider (ImprovMX) to a mailbox hosted by Google (Gmail), so those providers process support emails on our behalf. Please do not send passwords or other secrets.
The plugin works only as a tool on your own computer: GRAMSHIFT does not receive or process anything from it. For sales records and support emails, GRAMSHIFT is the controller. We rely on our legitimate interest in answering requests and on legal obligations (for example tax records). GRAMSHIFT is based in Japan, so this information is processed in Japan and by the providers named above.
You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or object to its use, by emailing contact@gramshift.com. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Uninstalling the plugin from the Stream Deck app removes the plugin, its settings and its log file; removing its keys removes their settings. The plugin keeps no other data. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to handle the request and meet legal obligations; you can ask us to delete them. Sales records are kept for up to 7 years for accounting and tax.
If the plugin ever starts to send data or store other data, this policy will be updated before that change is released, and the date above will change.
