The plugin does not collect anything about you. It has no account, no ID, no analytics and no telemetry, and sends nothing to GRAMSHIFT. To find and play radio, it connects only to the station directory radio-browser.info (free and run by its community), to the radio stations you play, and to the logo addresses the directory lists for them. Your settings stay in the Stream Deck app on your PC.
| When | Sent to | What is sent |
|---|---|---|
| You search for a station, or a Station key's settings page shows the most popular stations | radio-browser.info, the station directory. To find its servers, the plugin first looks up radio-browser.info in DNS, as the directory asks. | The words you typed and the country you chose (if any). |
| You play a station you picked from the directory | radio-browser.info | Which station was played. The directory counts plays to rank stations, and answers with the station's current stream address. Addresses you pasted yourself are not sent to the directory. |
| A station plays | The station's own server | A normal request for the stream, made by the media player built into Windows. While it plays, a second short connection to the same stream reads the song title the station sends inside it (ICY), then hangs up. |
| A key shows a station logo | The logo address (favicon) the directory lists for that station | A normal request for the image. Only PNG, JPEG or GIF images are used, and their size is limited. |
| A station's address (pasted by you, or from the directory) is a playlist (.pls, .m3u or .asx) | The server of that playlist | A normal request for the playlist, read only to find the stream address in it. |
The plugin's own requests (directory, song title, logo, playlist) name the program as InternetRadioForWindows/1.0 (its User-Agent); the stream itself is requested the way the Windows media player does it. Nothing about you is added: no account, no ID, no name, no list of your stations. Like any internet connection, the servers you connect to can see your IP address and the time of the request; radio-browser.info and each radio station handle that under their own terms. A server may send a request on to another address (a redirect); the plugin follows a few of them, the same way a web browser does. No other address is contacted.
| Data | Where it is kept |
|---|---|
| Key settings: the station on each Station key (picked from the directory, or the address you typed), the name on the key, the look, and the volume step of Volume keys and the dial | In your Stream Deck profile on your PC, saved by the Stream Deck app like any key. |
| The radio volume, mute, the last station played and the stations you played lately (up to 12) | In the plugin's settings in the Stream Deck app on your PC. |
| Song titles and station logos | Kept in memory while the plugin runs, shown on the keys. Not saved. |
| Technical log | The Stream Deck app's plugin system may keep a small log file in the plugin's folder on your PC. The plugin adds no searches, stations or song titles to it. |
| Anything sent to GRAMSHIFT servers | Nothing. |
On your PC, the plugin talks to the Stream Deck app through a local connection (127.0.0.1) that the Stream Deck app provides to every plugin. If you export or share a Stream Deck profile, the key settings in it go with it. If you use a backup or sync feature of the Stream Deck app, Elgato's terms apply to it.
The plugin is sold on the Elgato Marketplace. Purchases, payments and licenses are handled by Elgato (Corsair) and its payment provider under Elgato's own terms and privacy policy. GRAMSHIFT never receives card details. If Elgato provides us with sales records (for example the date, country and amount of a sale), we use them only for accounting and tax.
If you contact us, we receive what you choose to send (for example your email address, your message and any screenshots). We use it only to answer you. Email to contact@gramshift.com is forwarded by our email forwarding provider (ImprovMX) to a mailbox hosted by Google (Gmail), so those providers process support emails on our behalf.
The plugin works as a tool on your own computer: GRAMSHIFT does not receive or process anything from it. radio-browser.info and the radio stations you play are run by others, not by GRAMSHIFT. For sales records and support emails, GRAMSHIFT is the controller. We rely on our legitimate interest in answering requests and on legal obligations (for example tax records). GRAMSHIFT is based in Japan, so this information is processed in Japan and by the providers named above.
You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or object to its use, by emailing contact@gramshift.com. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Removing the plugin in the Stream Deck app removes its folder and log. The key settings and the plugin's settings are held by the Stream Deck app, and we have not verified whether the Stream Deck app deletes them when the plugin is removed. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to handle the request and meet legal obligations; you can ask us to delete them. Sales records are kept for up to 7 years for accounting and tax.
If the plugin ever starts to send or store other data, this policy will be updated before that change is released, and the date above will change.
