App: Issue Export to PDF & Excel for Jira (Jira Cloud) · Provider: GRAMSHIFT (Tokyo, Japan) · Last updated: 2026-09-13

Summary

The app does not send your Jira data to GRAMSHIFT or to anyone else, and it does not store it. It runs inside Jira, in the browser of the person using it. It reads issues through the Jira REST API with that person's own Jira permissions, builds the PDF or Excel file in the same browser, and hands the file to the browser as a download.

What the app reads

The app only asks Jira for the read:jira-work permission. It cannot change issues and it can only see what the signed-in user can already see in Jira.

Where the data goes

DataWhere it is processedStored?
Issues, fields, comments, attachment listIn the user's browser, inside JiraNo. It is held in browser memory only while the page is open.
Generated PDF / Excel filesIn the user's browserOnly where the user saves the download.
Anything sent to GRAMSHIFT servers—Nothing. The app has no server of its own and makes no requests outside Atlassian.

The app's code and fonts are hosted by Atlassian (Forge). The app uses no Forge functions, no Forge storage, no cookies, no analytics and no third-party services.

Information GRAMSHIFT receives from Atlassian

When a site installs, evaluates or buys the app through the Atlassian Marketplace, Atlassian shares licensing and contact information with app providers (for example the site, the license type and period, and the technical and billing contacts). GRAMSHIFT uses this only to manage licenses, answer support requests and meet legal obligations, and does not sell it. Payments are processed by Atlassian; GRAMSHIFT never receives card details.

Support requests

If you email us, we receive what you choose to send (for example your email address, your message and any screenshots). We use it only to answer you. Please do not send exported files or issue content unless it is needed to solve the problem. Email to contact@gramshift.com is forwarded by our email forwarding provider (ImprovMX) to a mailbox hosted by Google (Gmail), so those providers process support emails on our behalf.

Our role and legal basis

For Jira data, the app acts only as a tool inside your Atlassian site: GRAMSHIFT does not receive or process it. For license and contact information received from Atlassian and for support emails, GRAMSHIFT is the controller. We rely on our legitimate interest in managing licenses and answering requests, and on legal obligations (for example tax records). GRAMSHIFT is based in Japan, so this information is processed in Japan and by the providers named above.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or object to its use, by emailing contact@gramshift.com. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Retention and deletion

The app keeps no Jira data, so there is nothing to delete when it is uninstalled. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to handle the request and meet legal obligations; you can ask us to delete them. License and contact information from Atlassian is kept while the license is active and for up to 7 years afterwards for accounting and tax records.

Changes

If the app ever starts to send or store data, this policy will be updated before that change is released, and the date above will change.
