Summary

Your race data stays on your PC. While one of its keys is on your Stream Deck, the plugin reads the live race data RaceRoom Racing Experience shares on your PC, keeps what the keys need in memory and draws it on your keys. It has no account, no analytics and no telemetry. The one thing it sends over the network is the check of your license key (the key, the product, a mark of the PC made so that the PC's own id cannot be read back from it, and the plugin's version). No race data is ever sent.

What the plugin does on your PC

It reads, and never changes, the live data RaceRoom shares on your PC while it runs: ten times a second while one of its keys is shown and the game is running, once a second while the game is not running, and not at all while none of its keys is shown (after the last key goes away it goes on for about 45 seconds, so a switch to another Stream Deck page and back loses nothing).
From that data it uses only what the keys show: the game's data version, the session (type, phase, time and laps left, flags, start lights and pit window) and, for your own car, its place, lap times and place on the lap, gaps, fuel and energy, tyres, brakes, traction control, ABS, engine map, brake bias, push to pass or DRS, damage, pit lane state, pit limiter and penalties, and the ids of the track, layout and car (to start the measurement again when you change car or session). The names of drivers are not used. The values are kept in memory while the keys are shown and are not written to disk.
It writes nothing into the game's folder and installs nothing into the game.
When you press one of its keys and have chosen a key to send, it sends that key to Windows as a key press, by default only while the game is the active window (it checks which program is in front for that). One press sends one key; it never presses keys by itself.

License check

When you enter your license key, when the plugin starts and about once a day while it runs, it sends to https://gramshift.com/deck-shop/: the license key, the product name, a mark of this PC and the plugin's version. Nothing else is sent.
The PC mark is a one-way hash made from Windows' machine id (HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Cryptography, read only). The id itself is never sent. The mark is saved in %LOCALAPPDATA%\GRAMSHIFT\deck-device-id.txt (or deck-device-fallback.txt when the id cannot be read), shared by all GRAMSHIFT direct-store plugins on the PC.
The answer (a signed token) is kept in the plugin's settings in the Stream Deck app. Without a connection the plugin keeps working for a while and checks again later.

This website (Google Analytics)

The plugin itself has no analytics. The product pages on gramshift.com (the product page in each language; not this privacy page or the support page) use Google Analytics to count visits: which page was opened, from which site or search, and the browser's general location and device type. Advertising cookies and ad personalization are always off. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the analytics cookie is set only after you choose Accept on the small banner at the bottom of the page; until then, or if you choose Decline, Google receives only cookieless signals without an ID. Elsewhere the pages set the analytics cookie when they open. Your choice is kept in your browser (local storage) so the banner does not come back; clear this site's data to choose again. Google processes this data on our behalf and GRAMSHIFT is the controller; we rely on your consent in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, and elsewhere on our legitimate interest in knowing how visitors find these pages. To refuse, choose Decline on the banner, block cookies for gramshift.com in your browser, or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Purchases

The plugin is sold directly by GRAMSHIFT on gramshift.com. Payments are handled by Stripe; GRAMSHIFT never receives card details. The order, the email address and the license key are kept for the download, the license check and accounting; see the direct store privacy policy for the details.

Support requests

If you contact us, we receive what you choose to send (for example your email address, your message and any screenshots). We use it only to answer you. Email to contact@gramshift.com is forwarded by our email forwarding provider (ImprovMX) to a mailbox hosted by Google (Gmail), so those providers process support emails on our behalf. Please do not send passwords or other secrets.

Our role and legal basis

Apart from the license check, the plugin works only as a tool on your own computer: GRAMSHIFT does not receive anything else from it. For the license check, sales records and support emails, GRAMSHIFT is the controller. We rely on the contract with you (the license you bought), our legitimate interest in answering requests and legal obligations (for example tax records). GRAMSHIFT is based in Japan, so this information is processed in Japan and by the providers named above.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or object to its use, by emailing contact@gramshift.com. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Retention and deletion

Uninstalling the plugin from the Stream Deck app removes the plugin, its settings (with the license token) and its log file; removing its keys removes their settings. The PC mark files in %LOCALAPPDATA%\GRAMSHIFT stay until you delete them by hand (other GRAMSHIFT direct-store plugins on the PC use them too). Support emails are kept only as long as needed to handle the request and meet legal obligations; you can ask us to delete them. Sales records are kept for up to 7 years for accounting and tax.

Changes

If the plugin ever starts to send other data or store other data, this policy will be updated before that change is released, and the date above will change.
