Ideas and bug reports

Email contact@gramshift.com in English or Japanese. Ideas and anything else are welcome, and every message is read; we do not guarantee a reply time. For a bug, please include your Windows version (Settings > System > About), your Stream Deck app version and model, the app you copied from or pasted into, and a screenshot of the key's settings page (its Status line says what the last press did). Please do not send copied content you want to keep private.

Get started

  1. In the Stream Deck app, find Clipboard History for Windows in the action list.
  2. Drag History Slot onto a few keys side by side and set their Copy to 1, 2, 3… Copy something: key 1 shows it, and older copies move along.
  3. Press a key to paste its item into the app you are working in.
  4. Optional: a Pause History key and a Clear History key.

Private copies

Apps can flag a copy as private with the clipboard formats Windows defines for this, a flag password managers can set when they copy a password. The plugin does not read or keep such copies: ExcludeClipboardContentFromMonitorProcessing, CanIncludeInClipboardHistory = 0, CanUploadToCloudClipboard = 0 and Clipboard Viewer Ignore. The settings page then says that the last copy was not added and why. Some apps put one of these flags on other copies too (a screenshot tool may, for example); those copies are left out the same way. A copy from an app that sets none of these flags goes into the history like any other copy.

Looks

Each key has a Look: Classic (dark gray), Neon (bright lines on black), Solid (a bright color: blue for text, violet for pictures, teal for pinned) and Paper (dark words on light paper).

Limits

Privacy

The history stays on your PC, encrypted with your Windows account, and nothing is sent anywhere. Full details and how to delete everything: Privacy Policy.

Troubleshooting

The key showsWhat it means
EMPTY / copy somethingThere is no copy with this number yet.
PASTE / Ctrl+V sentThe item is on the clipboard and Ctrl+V was sent to the app in front.
COPIED / on clipboardThe item is on the clipboard (the key is set to copy only).
BUSY / clipboard in useAnother app kept the clipboard open. Press again.
-- / pinned item deletedThe item pinned to this key was deleted (Clear History set to Everything). Hold the key for 1 second to unpin it.
•••••• / hiddenThe text looks like a password or a key, so its content is hidden on the key. A press still pastes it.
PAUSEDRecording is paused: press the Pause History key to resume.
-- / restart Stream DeckThe plugin's clipboard watcher stopped several times. Quit the Stream Deck app and start it again.

Compatibility
