Get started

  1. Install the profile from the Marketplace, or double-click the .streamDeckProfile file and choose Install in the Stream Deck app.
  2. Select the profile on your Stream Deck. PREV and NEXT at the bottom right move between the 10 pages. The MORE keys open folders with more keys of the same page, and BACK returns.
  3. Move the mouse pointer over the Blender editor you want to control (for example the 3D Viewport), then press a key.

Questions

A key does nothing.
Blender sends a shortcut to the editor under the mouse pointer, and many shortcuts work only in one mode (Object Mode, Edit Mode, Sculpt Mode, Pose Mode). Check that the pointer is over the right editor and that the object is in the mode of that page. A popup such as the splash screen also takes the keys until it is closed.

A key does something else.
The keys send Blender's default keymap ("Blender" keymap, Left click select, Spacebar Action: Play). If you changed a shortcut in Blender (Edit > Preferences > Keymap), change that key's Hotkey in the Stream Deck app to match, or restore the shortcut in Blender.

Which Blender versions?
The keys were checked against the default keymaps exported from Blender 5.2 LTS and 4.5 LTS. Each key sends the same command in both.

Keyboard layouts.
No symbol keys are used. Only letters, digits, numpad keys, F-keys (F2–F7, F9–F12), Tab and Space are sent (with Ctrl, Shift or Alt); their key codes are the same on Japanese and US layouts, so the profile is made for both. Shortcuts on symbol keys, arrow keys and Home/End/Page Up/Page Down are not included.

Mac, Stream Deck XL or Stream Deck +?
This version is for Windows with the 15-key Stream Deck (MK.2). Other devices are not covered in this version.

Compatibility

Tested on Windows 11 with a Japanese keyboard layout.
