| Message | What it means |
|---|---|
| searching… | The plugin is looking for VRChat on this PC. |
| VRChat not found | VRChat is not running, or OSC is off in VRChat. Turn it on in the Action Menu: Options → OSC → Enabled. The keys find VRChat again by themselves. |
| Open camera / in VRChat | VRChat is found and the camera is closed. Open the camera in VRChat; the keys work while it is open. Presses while it is closed send nothing. |
| ACTIVE | On a Camera Mode key: the camera is in this mode. |
| VRC+ | This mode needs VRChat+. |
| -- | VRChat has not given this value yet. |
The Status line in a key's settings says more: whether VRChat was found, whether the camera is open and in which mode, and what happened to your last press (sent, or not sent and why).
Only once: turn on OSC in the Action Menu (Options → OSC → Enabled). VRChat keeps it on.
Open the key's settings and read the Status line. If it says VRChat was not found, check that OSC is on and that VRChat runs on this PC. If it says the camera is closed, open the camera in VRChat. If it mentions the firewall, let the Stream Deck app use the local network in Windows' firewall settings.
VRChat takes and saves them itself, in its own photo folder, as with the camera's own shutter. The plugin does not touch them.
Yes. The plugin only sends to VRChat's control port and does not take the port other OSC programs listen on.
No. One press of a key sends one camera control. It never presses anything by itself and has no macros.
No. It uses VRChat's own OSC camera controls. Nothing is installed into VRChat and nothing is written to its folder.
Windows 10 or later, Stream Deck app 6.9 or later, VRChat on PC with OSC enabled.
