Turn it on with your license key

Install the plugin: double-click the .streamDeckPlugin file you downloaded after buying. The Stream Deck app adds it.
Drag any Cooldown Deck key onto your Stream Deck and click it to open its settings.
Paste your license key (it starts with GSD-) into the field at the top and click Activate. All keys of the plugin start working on that PC.

One license key works on up to 3 PCs. The plugin checks the key online now and then; it keeps working for a while without a connection, and checks again the next time the PC is online.

Lost your key or the download? Email us from the address you paid with, as the Recover your license key page explains, and we will send you a link to your license key page.

A new PC and all 3 places are used? Email us with your license key and we will free the old PCs.

First start (once)

Put a key on your Stream Deck. The plugin finds Dota 2 in your Steam libraries and gets the game ready by itself; the key's settings show what it did.
Close Dota 2 completely and start it again (only this first time: the game reads its settings when it starts).
Start or join a match. The keys show your hero as soon as you are in game.

If nothing comes after a restart: in Steam, open Dota 2 > Properties > Launch Options, add -gamestateintegration and start the game again.

The keys

Key	Shows	A press
Ability	Ready, the cooldown, no mana, not learned, silenced, charges and the level. The slot set to 6 shows your ultimate.	Sends the slot's game key (Q W E D F R by default)
Item	The item in a slot (1 to 6, TP scroll or neutral item), its cooldown and charges	Sends the slot's game key (Z X C V B N, T for the TP scroll by default)

Keys that cast

A press on an Ability or Item key sends the same key you would press on your keyboard, only while Dota 2 is the active window. One press sends one key; the plugin never presses keys by itself.

Changed your hotkeys in the game? Type the key you use under Key to send in that key's settings (for example Q, F5, Alt+Q or Num1).
Buyback and the neutral item have no key in Dota 2 by default. Give them a key in the game's hotkeys, then type the same key under Key to send.
Read the Status line in the key's settings: it says which key a press sends, and why the last press was not sent.
Presses do nothing while Dota 2 runs as administrator: Windows blocks keys from Stream Deck then. Start the game normally (not "Run as administrator").

Status messages

Status says	What to do
Steam was not found / Dota 2 was not found	Install Steam and Dota 2. The key finds them by itself (checked every 30 seconds).
The game-state file was written … close Dota 2 completely and start it again	Restart the game once.
Ready … waiting for data from Dota 2	Start the game. If it is running, close it completely and start it again; if it still does not come, add the launch option above.
The game-state file could not be written	Check that the Dota 2 folder is not read-only. The key tries again every 30 seconds.
Receiving data from Dota 2	All good.

Questions

Can I get banned for using it?

It uses only the game data provided by the game itself for tools like this. It does not read the game's memory, and a press is the same key you would type on your keyboard. Like any tool, use it within the game's rules; GRAMSHIFT is not affiliated with Valve.

Does it work while spectating or watching a replay?

No. It shows your own hero while you play a match.

Does it work on a Mac or with Dota 2 on another PC?

No. It needs Dota 2 on the same Windows PC as the Stream Deck.

Can I get a refund?

If it does not work with your game or setup, email us within 14 days of buying for a full refund.
