Dota 2 cooldowns on your Stream Deck keys
Cooldown Deck is a Dota 2 Stream Deck plugin: each key shows one of your hero's abilities or items with its cooldown counting down, and a press casts it in the game.
Your ultimate, TP scroll, buyback, respawn timer, health, mana, the game clock, day and night, and gold with your KDA get their own keys. It sets up Dota 2 by itself and uses only the game data provided by the game itself.

What the Dota 2 keys show
Ability cooldowns
Choose a slot from Q to the ultimate. The key shows the ability's name, its level and the seconds left, and turns green when it is ready.
Ultimate
Your ultimate in its own frame: ready, on cooldown or not learned yet. Also no mana, silenced and charges.
Item cooldowns
Item slots 1 to 6 and the neutral item: the item's name, its cooldown and its charges.
TP scroll
The seconds until your TP scroll is back, and how many you carry.
Buyback
The buyback cost in gold. Lights up when you have the gold to buy back; otherwise shows the gold still needed and the cooldown.
Respawn
Counts down the seconds until your hero is back.
Every state on the key
Keys change with the match: an ultimate not learned yet, a passive, the night, or your hero waiting to respawn.
Your hero and the match at a glance
Health and mana with a bar, the game clock (paused too), day or night with the time to the next change, and your gold with kills, deaths and assists.
Press to cast, set up by itself
A press sends the game key of that slot, Dota 2's default keys: Q W E D F R for abilities, Z X C V B N and T for items. If you changed your hotkeys in the game, set the same key in the key's settings.
The plugin finds Dota 2 in Steam and sets it up by itself. Close Dota 2 completely and start it again once, as the key tells you; after that the keys show your hero when you play.
It uses only the game data provided by the game itself for tools like this. It does not read the game's memory, and a press is the same key you would type on your keyboard. The match data stays on your PC.
Set up in 3 steps
- Open the plugin file you download after buying. The Stream Deck app installs it.
- In the Stream Deck app, drag the keys you want onto your Stream Deck and enter your license key once in a key's settings.
- Close Dota 2 completely and start it again once, as the key says. Start a match and the keys show your hero.

Questions
How do I show my Dota 2 ability cooldowns on Stream Deck?
Install Cooldown Deck, drag an Ability key onto your Stream Deck, enter your license key in its settings and restart Dota 2 once. In a match, the key shows the ability's cooldown counting down and turns green when it is ready.
Can a Stream Deck key cast a Dota 2 ability or use an item?
A press sends the game key of that slot while Dota 2 is the window in front: Dota 2's default keys, Q W E D F R for abilities and Z X C V B N and T for items. If you changed your hotkeys in the game, set the same key in the key's settings.
Can I get banned for using it?
It uses only the game data provided by the game itself for tools like this. It does not read the game's memory, and a press is the same key you would type on your keyboard. Like any tool, use it within the game's rules; GRAMSHIFT is not affiliated with Valve.
Do I need launch options, a console command or a separate program?
Usually not. The plugin sets up Dota 2 by itself; you close Dota 2 completely and start it again once. If nothing shows after that, the key's settings say what to do next.
How do I set up a buyback key?
Dota 2 has no buyback key by default. Give buyback a key in the game's hotkeys, then type the same key in the Buyback key's settings. The neutral item works the same way.
How many PCs can I use with one license key?
Up to 3 of your own PCs. If you replace a PC, write to us and we free up a place for the new one.
How do I get new versions?
Download the latest version from your thank-you page or the license key page you received. Your license key keeps working. If you cannot open your license key page, email us as the "Recover your license key" page explains.
What if I lose my license key?
Email contact@gramshift.com from the address you paid with, and include your order number, or the date and amount you paid. We check the purchase and reply with a link to your license key page.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If the plugin does not work on your PC or with your game, email us within 14 days of purchase and we refund the full amount. The license key stops working after the refund.

Limits
- Windows only, with Dota 2 and your Stream Deck on the same PC.
- The first time, Dota 2 has to be closed completely and started again once before the keys show your hero.
- Your presses reach the game only while Dota 2 is the window in front. With another window in front, a press does not reach the game.
- Buyback and the neutral item have no key in Dota 2 by default. Give them a key in the game's hotkeys, then type the same key in that key's settings.
- If Dota 2 runs as administrator, Windows blocks keys from the Stream Deck app. Start Dota 2 normally.
- This version checks its license key with our server when you activate it, each time the plugin starts, and about once a day while it runs. If it cannot reach the server, it keeps working for up to 44 days after the last successful check.
- Tested on the real Dota 2 in a bot match, on the Stream Deck app's virtual deck rather than a physical device: the setup and the one restart, ability names, not learned, the ultimate, health, mana, the clock, gold and KDA; a press on an ability key cast the ability, with its cooldown seconds and level on the key; a press on the TP key cast the TP, with the seconds and charges left on the key; while dead, the respawn countdown matched the game; and the buyback key lit up with its cost when the gold covered it. This licensed version was tested with a stand-in for the game, not in a real match. If it does not work with your game or setup, email us within 14 days of buying for a full refund.
