In a race the laps of fuel are checked against the laps still to go (in a timed race the leader takes the flag at the first line after the time is up, plus the extra lap of a time-and-laps race, and you at the first line you cross after that): red with "SHORT 1.4 LAPS" when the fuel will not reach the finish, yellow with less than one lap to spare. | Message | What it means |
|---|---|
| NO GAME · start a session | The game's live data is not there: RaceRoom is not running yet. The keys find the game within about a second after it starts. |
| LOADING | The game is starting and has not written its data yet. |
| NO SESSION · in the menu | You are in the game's menus. |
| REPLAY | A replay is playing. |
| VIEWING (dimmed key, amber frame) | The game shows a car you are not driving. The keys keep the last values of your car, dimmed, and measure nothing until your car is back. Before you have driven in the session the key only says VIEWING. |
| NO CAR | The game has no car of yours yet. As with VIEWING, the keys keep the last values of your car, dimmed. |
| PAUSED (dimmed key, amber frame) | The game is paused. The last values stay readable but dimmed. |
| STALE (dimmed key, amber frame) | The game's data has not changed for 3 seconds: the game is loading, or stopped. |
| UNSUPPORTED (red) | The data does not look like what this plugin reads. "game version differs": a game update changed the version of its data. "data changed": the values do not fit the layout the plugin reads. The keys show no numbers then. Please tell us. |
| READ ERROR (red) | Windows refused to let the plugin read the game's data. If you run the game as administrator, run the Stream Deck app the same way, or run both normally. |
| STINT -- | The plugin has not yet seen your car leave the pit lane (or the green light of a race) in this session, so the stint start is unknown. It starts counting at your next pit exit. |
No. RaceRoom shares its live race data on your PC by itself while you drive, and the plugin only reads it.
From the game itself: RaceRoom works out the fuel your car uses per lap and shares it. Until it has a figure (usually after your first full lap), the key says "after one lap".
The seconds are the gaps the game itself gives to the cars placed just ahead of and behind you overall. The Place setting chooses whether the big number is your overall place or your place in your class.
Open the key's settings and read the Status line: it says the key that was sent, or why it was not. By default keys are sent only while the game is the active window. Give the same key to a control in the game's controls. If you run RaceRoom as administrator, Windows blocks keys from Stream Deck: start the game normally. If the Status line says the name of the program in front could not be read, turn off "Only while the game is the active window".
No. One press of a Stream Deck key sends one key you chose, as if you pressed it on your keyboard. It never presses anything by itself and has no macros.
No. It only reads the data the game shares. Nothing is installed into the game folder and nothing is written to the game.
Windows 10 or later, Stream Deck app 6.9 or later, RaceRoom Racing Experience on PC.
