Stream Deck plugin for Windows
Record your keystrokes and mouse clicks, then replay them with one Stream Deck key
Macro Recorder Key for Windows records what you do on your PC with the keyboard and mouse, and plays it back with one press of a Stream Deck key: for repetitive office work such as forms, reports and file handling.
A macro stops the moment you move the mouse or press a key, lets go of the keys it pressed, and before each click and key it checks that the same program is there. No other software to install.
- Press to record
- Press to play

What one key does

Press to record
Press the key, do your task, press it again to stop. It records key presses, mouse clicks and the wheel with their timing, and mouse movement if you choose.

Press to play
A press plays the recording, a press while it plays stops it. Choose 0.5x to 4x speed or no waits, or the same wait after every step.

Repeat with progress
Repeat 1 to 100 times or until you stop it. The key shows how far it has played and which repeat it is on.

Check
Before each click and key, the plugin checks that the same program is there, and stops before that step if not, so a macro does not type into the wrong window.

Position Window
Clicks inside the window where you started recording follow that window when it has moved, and the plugin brings it to the front first.

Stop key
A separate key stops whatever records or plays now. A recording keeps what was recorded until then.
Choose your look
Pick a look in each key's settings: Classic, Neon, Ring or Solid. Every key shows the macro's name and what it is doing.

It stops before it goes wrong
While a macro plays, moving the mouse by more than 3 pixels, or pressing a key or a mouse button, stops it, and the keys and buttons it pressed are let go. The key then shows why it stopped.

Reads input only while it works
The plugin reads the keyboard and mouse only while a macro records or plays. Input that other programs send is not recorded, and Stream Deck keys are not keyboard input, so they are not recorded either.
A recording is saved in the key's settings on your PC. It contains what you typed, so do not type passwords or other secrets while recording.
Your recordings are never sent anywhere. The only thing that goes online is the license key check.

Questions
How do I record a macro of keystrokes and mouse clicks on a Stream Deck?
Drag a Macro key of Macro Recorder Key for Windows onto your Stream Deck, press it, do your task with the keyboard and mouse, and press it again to stop. The next press plays the task back. To record again, hold the key for 1 second and release it.
Can a Stream Deck key repeat a macro many times?
Yes. Choose 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 25 or 100 repeats, or until you stop it, in the key's settings. The key shows how far it has played and which repeat it is on, and a press of the key or the Stop key stops it.
What happens if I move the mouse while a macro plays?
The macro stops. Moving the mouse by more than 3 pixels, or pressing a key or a mouse button, stops it at once, and the keys and buttons it pressed are let go, so nothing stays held down.
Can it click the right place when the window has moved?
Yes. Set Position to Window (follows it) in the key's settings: clicks inside the window where recording started follow that window when it has moved, and the plugin brings it to the front first.
Can I change the playback speed?
Yes. Choose 0.5x, 1x, 2x or 4x, or no waits, or use the same wait after every step (50 to 1000 ms) in the key's settings.
How many PCs can I use with one license key?
Up to 3 of your own PCs. If you replace a PC, write to us and we free up a place for the new one.
How do I get new versions if I buy direct?
Download the latest version from your thank-you page or the license key page you received. Your license key keeps working. If you cannot open your license key page, email us as the "Recover your license key" page explains.
What if I lose my license key?
Email contact@gramshift.com from the address you paid with, and include your order number, or the date and amount you paid. We check the purchase and reply with a link to your license key page.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, for a direct purchase. If the plugin does not work on your PC, email us within 14 days of purchase and we refund the full amount. The license key stops working after the refund.
