Sudoria — a free sudoku app
No guessing, no unfair dead-ends. From gentle to brutal, quietly focused.
Sudoria is a free app for playing sudoku — filling a 9×9 grid with the digits 1–9. What sets it apart: every puzzle is machine-verified to have exactly one solution, so you never hit a flawed "either answer works" board. Difficulty ranges from gentle beginner to brutal, and it's built for players who like to switch off the music and concentrate.
What is sudoku?
Fill a 9×9 grid with 1–9 so that no digit repeats in any row, column, or 3×3 box. It isn't a guessing game — it's about deducing "this cell can only be this number," one certainty at a time. The more you play, the faster and more satisfying it gets.
How to solve sudoku (a beginner's guide)
- Start where the grid is fullest. Rows, columns and boxes that already hold many digits narrow the options fastest.
- Find "only one place" for a digit. In a row, if a missing digit can go in only one remaining cell, lock it in.
- Find "only one digit" for a cell. If elimination leaves a single candidate for a cell, place it.
- Use candidate notes. Pencil small candidates into each cell to reveal the chain of certainties.
- Stuck? Move on. Progress elsewhere; filled cells often unlock the spot you were stuck on.
When we create a puzzle, a solver program checks that it can be reached by logic alone, with a single unique answer — no guessing required. We never ship puzzles that force a coin-flip. That's our promise to protect the "aha" of solving.
