One Stream Deck key that turns red when a repo needs a commit or push
To see which local git repositories still have uncommitted changes or unpushed commits, add Unpushed Changes for Git to your Stream Deck and point its Unsaved Work key at the folders that hold your repos. The key checks them once a minute and turns red when a repository needs a commit or push, including in the worktrees AI coding agents create, and you press it to see which one and why.
How do I see which git repos have uncommitted changes or unpushed commits?
Put an Unsaved Work key on your Stream Deck and enter the folders that hold your repositories. The key checks them once a minute, shows how many need a commit or push, and turns red; press it to see each one and why.
Does it check the worktrees AI coding agents create?
Yes. Worktrees of the repositories found are checked too, wherever they are on disk, including those AI coding agents such as Claude Code create. They appear under their own folder name.
Does it change my repositories or push anything?
No. It runs only read-only git commands (status, worktree list). It never fetches, commits, pushes or stashes, and uses no credentials.
Why does behind not match the server?
The plugin never fetches. Ahead and behind are counted against the upstream as your PC last saw it, that is, as of your last fetch or pull.
Does it slow down my PC?
It runs git status once a minute and only while a key of this plugin is on screen.
Limits
Only the checked-out branch is compared with its upstream. Not checked: stashes, other local branches, commits inside submodules, a detached HEAD.
Behind and ahead are as of your last fetch; the plugin never fetches.
