A live War Thunder instrument panel on your Stream Deck, for aircraft and tanks
To show War Thunder airspeed, altitude and fuel on a Stream Deck, add Cockpit Gauges for War Thunder, drag its Speed, Fuel / Crew, Engine / Ready Rack and Gear & Flaps keys onto your Stream Deck and start War Thunder. The keys find the game by themselves, with nothing to change in the game, and show your aircraft's gauges while you fly or, in a tank, your gear and speed, your crew and the rounds in your ready rack.
Stream Deck plugin · Works on Windows 10 or later with the Stream Deck app 6.9 or later and War Thunder on PC.
What you can do
Fly by the gauges: airspeed (IAS) and altitude on one key. Press it for true airspeed (TAS) and Mach, then climb rate.
Know how long your fuel lasts: the percent of your full tanks, a bar and the minutes left at your current burn. It turns orange, then red, as you reach the warning time you choose (5 minutes unless you change it), and stays red at EMPTY. Press for kilograms and the tank size.
Catch a hot engine: the highest oil temperature and the highest water temperature among your engines as green, orange and red. The colors start from a guide, and you can enter the temperatures where your aircraft overheats.
See gear, flaps and airbrake: landing gear UP, DOWN or moving, flaps with a bar, and the airbrake while it is out.
Drive a tank with the same keys: gear (N, R) with speed, rpm and cruise control; crew left (for example 3/4) with your gunner and driver shown OK or in orange; and the rounds left in the ready rack.
Switches by itself: the keys change between aircraft and tank on their own, also in the middle of a battle.
Clear status at every moment: IN HANGAR between battles, your last values held steady while a map loads, LOADING when a load takes longer, and STALE with grayed-out values when none of them has changed for 10 seconds.
Your units and language: km/h, mph or knots; meters or feet; Celsius or Fahrenheit; in English and Japanese.
Runs entirely on your PC and only reads your own vehicle from the game on the same PC. Nothing is sent over the network.
How it works
Install the plugin from the Elgato Marketplace.
Drag Speed, Fuel / Crew, Engine / Ready Rack and Gear & Flaps from the plugin's category onto keys.
Start War Thunder and join a battle, or start a test flight or test drive. The keys find the game by themselves and show your vehicle as soon as you are in it.
Press Speed or Fuel / Crew to switch what the key shows. Units, the fuel warning and the engine temperatures are in each key's settings.
It is display only: it shows values from the game and never sends keys, mouse input or commands to the game. The Status line in a key's settings shows whether the game is found.
Borderless Fullscreen Keys: Make a windowed game borderless fullscreen with one Stream Deck key, and put it back with another press.
Cab Deck for Train Sim World: Show Train Sim World speed limits and the next signal on Stream Deck keys, and work cab controls with a press.
Crosshair Overlay for Games: Show a crosshair in the center of your screen over windowed and borderless games from a Stream Deck key.
Game Key Guard for Windows: Turn off the Windows key and Alt+Tab while you play with one Stream Deck key; press again to turn them back on.
Live Cockpit for X-Plane 12: Switch X-Plane 12 gear, flaps, autopilot and lights from Stream Deck keys that show their real state.
Race Deck for Assetto Corsa: Show Assetto Corsa fuel laps left, tyres, a live delta, TC, ABS and brake bias live on Stream Deck keys.
Questions
How do I show War Thunder airspeed and fuel on my Stream Deck?
Drag Speed and Fuel / Crew of Cockpit Gauges for War Thunder onto keys, start War Thunder and join a battle or a test flight. The keys find the game by themselves and show airspeed (IAS), altitude, the fuel percent and the minutes left at your current burn, with nothing to set up in the game.
Does it work in tanks?
Yes. The same keys switch by themselves to gear with speed and rpm, crew left with your gunner and driver, and the rounds in the ready rack, also when you change vehicles in the middle of a ground battle. Gear & Flaps is for aircraft only.
Why do my keys show NO DATA while I play War Thunder?
Some game modes and custom battle settings turn the game's data off, and the keys show NO DATA until it is on again; they come back by themselves. The Support page has a quick check, and the Status line in a key's settings shows whether the game is found.
Does it press keys or play for me?
No. It only shows values. It never sends keys, mouse input or commands to the game.
Does it show enemies or other players?
No. It shows only your own vehicle.
Can I use knots and feet?
Yes. In the Speed key's settings choose km/h, mph or knots, and meters or feet (the climb rate is then in ft/min). The Engine key has Celsius or Fahrenheit.
Limits
Windows only (Windows 10 or later), and War Thunder on PC only, not PlayStation or Xbox.
Display only: it shows values and never sends keys, mouse input or commands to the game. It shows your own vehicle only, not other players.
Some game modes and custom battle settings turn the game's data off. The keys then show NO DATA until it comes back.
Shows only what the game reports for your own vehicle: no reload timer, ammunition count or damage for tanks, and each aircraft only with the gauges it has (an air-cooled engine has no water temperature).
Ships are not supported, and the fuel time left needs a few seconds of flight to measure.
If a game update renames a value, the keys leave that value out; with all the main values gone they show DATA CHANGED.
