Open the right browser profile from a Stream Deck key
To open Chrome, Edge, Brave or Firefox in a specific profile from a Stream Deck, add Browser Profile Launcher and press an Open Profile key set to work, personal or one profile per client. The browser opens straight in that profile and skips the profile picker, and a key can also open a web address in that profile or an Incognito or InPrivate window.
How do I open a specific Chrome profile with a Stream Deck button?
Add an Open Profile key, choose Chrome as the Browser and pick the profile from the list. Press the key and Chrome opens in that profile without the profile picker. The same works for Edge, Brave and Firefox.
Can a key open a website in a certain profile?
Yes. Enter a Web address in the key's settings, for example https://mail.example.com. Only http:// and https:// addresses can be opened.
Does it need a browser extension?
No. It uses the browsers' own start options.
Does it read my history or passwords?
No. It reads only the profile list (names, account email and picture).
Why does a new profile not appear in the list?
Browsers write their profile list when they close or shortly after a change. Close the browser (or wait a moment), then choose the browser again in the key's settings.
